A lobbyist for the National Rifle Association says anti-gun protestors have targeted his home at least twice, including spraying his house in Virginia with fake blood, as well as protesting at his wife's business.
Chris Cox, an NRA lobbyist who lives in Alexandria, just outside of Washington, D.C., claims that left-wing protestors have stood outside his wife's interior design business to hand out flyers, created an anti-Cox website and created posters with photos of child victims of gun violence to hold outside his home.

Don’t hold your breadth for the Southern Poverty Law Center to include this incident of vandalism on their list of terrorist acts. When people on the left disrupt class, block the sidewalk, vandalize statues, shout down speakers, attack people with baseball bats, assassinate Congressmen, and kill people who wear Trump hats, it’s protected by the 1st Amendment. Increasingly, we are coming to realize that our rights are protected by the 2nd Amendment.

Yes, it is. Unless one's life or their families lives are in direct danger where a reasonable person would conclude shooting (and killing) someone was the only recourse and that can be reasonably proven in a court of law, the use of deadly force to protect one's self and one's family absent a direct and immediate threat to life and safety is not appropriate.
Spray painting a house is one thing and doesn't rise to the use of deadly force to protect one's property. Now if the dumbasses try burning it down that's another matter entirely. And you better shoot them in the front of their body and not the back. Generally speaking, a "good shoot" is in a perp's front of their body. Once they turn to run away from a scene, many state's laws say you gotta let them go and let the police deal with them.

Every riot has instigators. They want a “war”, they will probably get their wish. It’s coming and guess who will start it, NOT the Deplorables, but they will finish it. The best way to prevent it will be to be rid of the loud mouths that are causing it. Every cop in the country knows you shut down the loud mouths first, the rest will back off.
