PITTSBURGH - A man was stabbed early Thursday morning while at a bar in Pittsburgh’s Bloomfield neighborhood, investigators said.
Police were called about 2 a.m. to a residential area near Pollock’s Cafe, located on Liberty Avenue.
Investigators said the 40-year-old victim was stabbed in the shoulder after he apparently got into a fight with the person who stabbed him inside the bar.
The man did not seek medical attention and stayed in the bar for about 30 minutes after he was stabbed before going to the residential area, police said.

"Pollocks is one of the last remaining true dives in Pittsburgh. You'll find Bloomfields finest in here from 7am onward smoking and drinking the cheapest beer available. Try the cherry bombs(marischino cherries soaked in booze) and Herky's deviled crabs for the "Taylor Street banger". They have 3 small tvs, pinball, and a tiny back room where you can get away with quite a bit.
The hospital is open all night. Last call is last call...
True story: I know a guy who had a beer bottle smashed over his head and stayed in the bar drinking. At some point, someone saw a big piece of glass from the bottle was still in his head. We all joke that he has his priorities right.

Let me guess, it was two-for-one night?
Way back when, my neighbor invited me to his company picnic.
He was very obese and broke his ankle playing touch football. But he was not going to let a little thing like that prevent him from sucking down the free beer at the picnic.
He moved a chair next to the keg and stuck the broken ankle in the washtub of ice around the keg.
Went to the ER when the picnic (and the beer) ended when the sun went down.
Must’a not bled too much or hurt a lot.

I do NOT want to get in a bar fight with the kind of guy who keeps drinking after getting stabbed.
