None of this makes any sense. It is all based on the idea that because a white male is successful it is somehow taking away from those that are not white males.
In the real world it is a real possibility that a white male can succeed, and a black female can also succeed. Why is the success of the white male an issue? The way I was raised everyone was encouraged to succeed.
As to the idea of privilege; we are all raised differently for many reasons, parental beliefs, economic reality. One child may be born in a family with economic advantage, another may be born to super encouraging parents. We all have advantages and disadvantages in life.
Is a white male born in a poor family that does not value education really more privileged than a black female born in an upper middle class family that supports education and encourages success?
As a white male born in a poor family that instilled traditional values and demanded that I get an education, I know the key to white “privilege”, and it’s not my reduced melanin. The key is values, character, and effort. If you listen to our recently unemployed communist leader, and if you believe “you didn’t build that”, you will never build anything. If you believe effort can, should, and will be rewarded, you have “privilege”, regardless of skin color.
