Remember that the Communists in the Soviet Union ruthlessly eliminated rival leftist groups like the Mensheviks and the Social Revolutionaries as they did monarchists and liberals (in the Jeffersonian/Lockean sense, not the modern type). Then under Stalin, the Trotskyites and the Old Bolsheviks were liquidated. Similar purges occurred during the French Revolution, on a less massive scale.

Leftism is not much different than organized crime, except for spokesmen for the former spouting pseudo-intellectual rhetoric and engaging in hair-splitting disputes to mask their criminality. They will tell you it isn't a crime when the Clintons, Obama, Comey, Mueller, etc., do it, but woe when Trump or his allies make a misstep.
