One day I looked at the top 100 for 1973. I recognized 90% of the songs. That was truly the best time for pop music. And in my view, this song was tops--number one for the entire decade:

The Andrews Sisters recorded that song in 1941. It was a WWII standard. And awesome song.
Better Midler covered it in 1972. Can’t say I recall that one.
