One day I looked at the top 100 for 1973. I recognized 90% of the songs. That was truly the best time for pop music.

And in my view, this song was tops--number one for the entire decade:

Your about 30 years late on that. The Andrew Sisters did that during WW2.

The Andrews Sisters recorded that song in 1941. It was a WWII standard. And awesome song.

Better Midler covered it in 1972. Can’t say I recall that one.

I have that album and I graduated from high school in 1973!
