I'm writing to let you know that another National School Walkout is planned for Friday, April 20th at 10 a.m. local time. The National School Walkout is meant to honor and mourn students, faculty, and staff who lost their lives in school shootings across the country. April 20th also marks the 19th anniversary of the Columbine High School shooting. In advance of the April 20th National School Walkout, we encourage parents to have a discussion with their child(ren) about their possible participation. Our first priority is always for the safety and well-being of all students and staff. Principals have been encouraged to work with student leadership to determine if students are planning to walk out. Students will not be disciplined, provided they follow the guidelines established collaboratively with the principal. We want to respect the constitutional rights of students while providing a safe environment to share their voice. In addition, it is our hope that students benefit from the educational opportunity this provides.

April 20th is also Adolf Hitler’s birthday. How appropriate!

At what point did they realize that they didn’t have to teach anything and still be able to keep their jobs?

If today’s government blessed schools taught real American History the students would realized they are being used.

Happy Hitler's Birthday!
These bastards have burrowed into the government schools like an intestinal worm. This is the the global deep state at work, and anyone who dismisses it is whistling past the graveyard.

We want to respect the constitutional rights of studentsHuh? And what constitutional rights might those be when they're supposed to be in class on a regular school day.

Maybe I am being dense, but my initial response was: What is the point? What, exactly, are they supposed to be protesting? If they had a good old fashioned assembly where they truly wanted to honor those slain, I don’t know if I would have a problem with it. But it seems to me this is just an offshoot of “Resist” garbage. Training our children to be useful idiots.

Believe it was that and also that the Colorado state legislature was to on that day in 1999 discuss and pass legislation making it easier for law abiding citizens to obtain concealed handgun carry permits. Thus, Klebold and Harris wanted to carry out their rampage before such a person with a permit could possibly stop them.

As the Desert Storm was beginning a rumor circulated that our students were planning a walk out to protest the war.
Our principal ordered us to stand in front of each door and take the names of any student walking out of the building.
We did and he suspended each and every one of them for three days. It never happened again.

I am walking out of school on the afternoon of June 28. For me, it will be a seven week walk out. If I am lucky, I will find something better, before I have to return in mid-August. For many of the kids that I drive to school, their next stop is the Young Offenders Centre.

How about a tax-payer revolt concerning misused funds for student walkouts.
To: cld51860
I’d be telling the school I pay their salaries and expect my child’s teachers to be in class teaching them the standard approved curriculum.

The public schools seem to have so many late starts, early dismissals, and “inservice” days, what’s the big deal about another protest day?
