I wouldn’t get shot for anything I wear, but even here it’s best to keep quiet about politics. We need business from everyone, not just like minded people.
I went to college in a close suburb of St. Paul. I learned that I could live in the metro area if I had to, but I’m definitely a small town gal. Funny though, we moved to a new town a couple of years ago and it’s been harder to meet people here than other places I’ve lived. We like it, but some small towns are slow to accept new people. I’d heard that about my hometown , but my mom’s family had been there for generations. Shoe is on the other foot here!
I have friends who live in small towns, and I’ve done in in Switzerland. Everyone knows your business. It freaks me out. I babysat a friend’s cat for one weekend. Next week at the bus stop all the other ladies commented that we got a cat. What?? No thanks.
