Isn’t it amazing? He ADMITS he “struggled” in some disciplines (i.e. he wasn’t good enough), then screams RACISM.
Almost every high school athlete comes to the realization he or she isn’t going to win a scholarship on a D1 team. Then almost every college D1 athlete comes to realize that he or she isn’t going to be drafted by a pro team. Then a lot of those athletes who are drafted by the pros languish on a farm club for years before realizing the “call” is never going to come. Life is brutal and competition is fierce for everything.
Actually he is pissed because there wasn't the racism he has been taught to expect in which he would get extra credit for not being white.
Many are called, but few are chosen.
Hey, speak for yourself. I know I was too short to dunk and I “struggled” to hit my free throws consistently, but it was implicit racial bias that caused me not to get picked for the NBA, rather than be given another chance.
#12 I knew a guy who was on the Oakland Raiders team. He was not first string but oh so close to the millions of dollars.
He was working at a printing company making less then $14/hr. He got a $80,000 car out of playing football.
