Cheerleaders for professional sports teams are often dancers with backgrounds in ballet, jazz, modern, hip-hop and tap. After beating out dozens of other dancers for the job, they have a chance to show off the athletic and dancing skills they have honed for years. But they quickly learn that performing during sporting events is only a small part of their job description. They are also required to fulfill what often becomes the unsavory side of the job: interacting with fans at games and other promotional events, where groping and sexual harassment are common.

I knew a woman who worked as a waitress in the 90’s. She made over $200 a night Friday and Sat. Some grabass was expected. If someone got too “handy”, then the bouncer would remove them.
One Sat, she made over $500, so yeah, I saw their big tips.
My Dad used to call them “Frustrated street walkers”. Didn’t catch that meaning till I was a bit older.
Seems he served with a few pro ball players back in the day, and the cheer leaders had the repretation then too.

Well, my friend didn’t really flaunt it, but waitresses back then wore short skirts as part of her uniform and she had nice tatas, so it made her good tips.
A very dear and sweet woman who died way too young was a long time waitress at a Pizza Hut in Rock Hill SC.
I asked her why she stayed where she was.
Good tips and regular friends among the customers.
She was as ladylike as they came. At times it seemed she was the only friend I had in the world.
