YOu would think basic human health standards would require it be transported in sealed cars. And, why not just reverse course and send it back to NY and NJ?
Biosolids very in grades so that the top grade is the most inert and safe for flower gardens, etc, but not for human consumption. The next grade down can be applied to forage crop feed for animals. The difference is the drying process. Class A material is laid out in rows and is turned regularly (air farmed) so that the good bacteria and oxygen are constantly working to break it down.
This material is likely going to be used as the daily cover material at the land fill.
I would sure like to have the disposal contract for this program.
