Chris Russo and Mike Francesa took some shots Wednesday over WFAN’s struggling ratings in the months after Francesa’s departure, and morning show hosts Boomer Esiason and Gregg Giannotti, as well as WFAN’s vice president of programming, Mark Chernoff, responded Monday morning.
“Classless, it really was,” Esiason said in comments first noted by Newsday.

Francesa is so friggin over-rated. Just like all things New York.
True but I liked Francesca’s show in doses. If anyone listens to sports talk radio, WFAN sucks now except for Steve Somers, also in small doses.
i agree about fatcessa being overrated- problem is the people who replaced him on his show have turned it into the SJW sports afternoon drive...
Not a NY fan but love the Schmoozer. And Boomer's still fun to listen to.
And that's about it. Francesca was a pant-load and a half and Mad Dog was a jerk.
(And the poor man's Mad Dog, Craig Carton, is now heading for federal prison time - couldn't happen to a nicer guy).

I will say it’s nice to be reminded there are other things to think about besides ‘As The World Turns’ in Washington, DC.
Used to love Boomer & Carton when we didn’t have school. They had great chemistry. Carton sadly blew his whole life up.
