I have had two black state troopers let me go because of speeding. One in North Carolina and one in Alabama. The Alabama one, like me, was a former jarhead. We talked about the Marine Corps on the side of the interstate. I treated both officers with the utmost respect. I will admit, my daughter, son, and myself have had a much better experience dealing with black cops as opposed to white cops. We are Caucasian. We are very respectful but I don’t know if thats the reason.

Being a fellow Marine might have been a factor (I was Army and we don't have any loyalty to one another) and it's possible that they just weren't on any kind of quota system as many cops are.Years ago I was rear ended by a garbage truck that was speeding.I saw the cop joking with the truck driver and saw him take cash from him.I got a ticket for failing to yield,fought it and won.I was lucky...if the ticket was upheld I would have been deemed to be “at fault”,thus costing me thousands in deductibles and higher premiums.

The only negro cop I was ever pulled over by was Calif Highway Patrol.

He was a sarcastic little punk, gloating how I never saw him back there, etc.
