All I need is a design, paint and a big old piece of plywood. I thin it’s going to be a fun project. :)
I am actually a quilter too. When I was researching it I found a few websites that dealt with barn quilt signs. My original plan was for a 4’ X 4’. Using 3/4 “ exterior plywood. My barn is 14 X20 and a 2 story. I was going to fortify the plywood with 2X4’s on the underside as a framework so the quilt would hang and have a little distance from the barn siding. I was also planning on making it in 2 pieces so it would be easier to paint and hang. I would use lots of wide masking tape for easier sharper edge painting. Looking forward to the pictures.
