Being an omnivore has some advantages. Like butterflied elk loin steaks with fried potatoes and eggs and biscuits for breakfast. In the mountains of Idaho. Getting the meat into camp can work up an appetite veggies alone just can’t handle.
Things always taste better above 7000 feet above sea level in October and November.

Had elk loin, moose kielbasa and bear pastrami at a FReeper Meet about 15 years ago.
