I’m sorry to hear about your husband but so glad that he retired in time to enjoy those two years! My husband, Jeff, died almost two years ago, and was a Freeper frequent contributor. He worked up till the last few weeks before he died of a rare very aggressive cancer. Though his battle was short-lived, he had absolute faith that he would be healed—if not here, in Heaven. Hope that you’re finding new purpose and joy!
Nope. Not “math challenged” but prepared for ANY financial challenge. We made sure had had enough headroom in our retirement to meet any unforeseen expenditures. And, there were plenty.

Start drawing SS as early as possible but only if you invest the whole amount every month.
