Back when my father was a policeman within 40 mi of NYC, I'm told they would take care of perps like this in their own ways. This guy would get a massive beating from someone much larger than himself, and more often than not, the lesson is learned. Everyone moves on.

It was a source of pride that they would go after the worst of the worst, and would let the light offenses slide, or even help out (letting a drunk sleep it off in a cell, without getting charged, etc). Those days are long gone. Now the cops prefer to go after the little fish, and not bother with the ones who actually make our neighborhoods unpleasant.

We know this doesn’t happen any more(wink wink) BUT am sure the Freddy Gray case sort of put an end to the ‘rough ride’ over ‘rough roads’ while swerving no longer take place.

Today with the rights of the accused trumping the rights of the victims, you couldn’t pay me enough to be a cop and I probably wouldn’t do ‘well’ in the Military either under todays standards OR LACK OF THEM
