A substantial part of our shadow government is career people in the government. The professed "non-partisan" tripe is fiction. Everybody in the government is political, and they are the back-stabbingest group of workers you will ever find.
Her hands-on work, at least what I've gathered from screen shots posted here, is in narrow application. She's an expert in privatizing incarceration, for example. FWIW, that is also an area of practice that got a handful of Pennsylvania judges off the bench, and maybe in the clink, for incarcerating innocent juveniles. Those were state operators, not federal. Bad people gravitate to positions of power, and the system is loathe to rat out any of its own.
