What really kills me is the byte-off of
Stage_5:5
because it tells me to start at byte position 5 and go 5 bytes, but of what string???
Under bash scripting, it says to take the 5th character/byte of the variable “Stage_5”. Just a coincidence that the variable “Stage_5” has a “5” as the final character
