Dotcom urges Obama to testify at his trial in New Zealand

Dotcom was arrested in January 2012 from his residence in the outskirts of Auckland, along with his three associates, in an FBI-led international operation against internet piracy which resulted in their website Megaupload being shut down, their accounts frozen and their properties confiscated.

The entrepreneur, who faces an extradition battle to the US, presented a petition Monday before the Auckland High Court asking for Obama to testify during his visit – which lasts from Tuesday to Friday – to the country.

“The Obama administration was under pressure from Hollywood to ‘get tough’ on copyright enforcement or lose Hollywood’s support,” Dotcom said in the statement.

“We were the perfect target – successful, high profile, and based outside the United States,” he added.

Dotcom also accused the New Zealand government, then led by the conservative John Key, of using political pressure to facilitate his extradition.

You don’t think for a minute that BO would show up to answer anything from Kimdotcom do you. He will just ignore him like he doesn’t even exist. Meet with a commoner? Never!
