Yes, you are right about those great works. When I was in my 20s, also was quite familiar with Twin Sons (with Tim Weisburg). I love Sutter’s Mill. I can put on youtube of him, and it will go all day long with very few duplicates.

So mellow.

I agree, “Sutter’s Mill” is another great tune.

Mr. Fogelberg was a master storyteller. He was brutally honest in his lyrics as proven by “Believe in Me” and “ Seeing you Again” which, as you probably know, were written about his failing marriage.

He definitely had a way with words. I was only nine years old when “Heart Hotels” was released but, even at that age, the lyrics “And the voices you hear at the top of the stairs are only echoes of unanswered prayers” touched me.

I am also impressed by his live performances on YouTube and the instruments he could play. It’s very hard to find such genuine talent today.

Sorry for my rambling post but I get very excited when discussing such superb music.

Another thing: IMO, the “Innocent Age” wasn’t just an outstanding LP, the album cover was epic. Creepy but epic.
