No, Reno is north west. Reno is further west than LA.
I remember when they built that mall.
I have since vacated California.
TO used to be beautiful.
Yes, in 2015 I packed up and moved back to Texas, where we have malls that are much bigger (of course we Texans would say that). I do miss Camarillo, the Oaks, even the Conejo Grade but there are plenty positives to Dallas.
You may recall how Thousand Oaks and Simi Valley always compete over which is the safer city. Which is why something like this is so shocking. And everyone knows the mall. It is very popular.
When you are in Simi Valley,
the beach/ocean is due south and due west
all at the same time.
The San Fernando Valley, which is LA, is due west of Simi
and TO.
We left CA on 2010 and, IIRC, T.O. was becoming quite heavy with crime when it came to gang activity. From ‘96 to 2000, we lived in WLV, and that seemed pretty safe. I think Simi had its crime issues but we weren’t near the high crime areas. We bordered on to Reagan Library grounds so it was far from the high population.
CA is beautiful, but we don’t miss it.
I think half of the LAPD and LA Sheriff Deputies live in Simi Valley. It is a pretty safe town.
Nope, Reno is west of Los Angeles.
Reno 119.8137 West Longitude
Los Angeles 118.2439
That puts Reno roughly 50+ miles west of Los Angeles.
Glad your friend is okay.
Glad the ex-husband can no longer give her trouble.
That makes my mind hurt.
The best Mexican restaurant we’ve been to is in T.O. — Lupe’s. Don’t know if it’s still there. We lived there, moved to the NE for a year, then got transferred back to CA. We left the airport, dumped our luggage in corporate housing, and immediately went to Lupe’s.
Thanks. She went on to do some real good in ministry.
