Despite any well qualified applicants, who are male, within the Folsom Police Department, the city managers had to search far and wide to find a woman whom they could hire and be politically correct.

This has been seen throughout Northern California. One recent egregious example has been the promotion of a woman, who rode a desk for five years, was out of service due to pregnancy, and then promoted over beat cops of 15 years of service to become their section sergeant.

Politics, not experience, rules the day in promotions.
