No, I read his lips, time and time again, and no one is offering he changed. He died without knowing it was his time. If he did not repent the previous day when he fell asleep knowing he would awaken, he didn’t repent not knowing he wouldn’t wake up.
Some times they make it easy for us to know where their destination is.

For all you know, in the last 3 seconds of life, Hawking could have cried out interiorly, but with all his heart, "Help me, Lord." A prayer the Good Lord famously cannot resist.
Try to abstain from judgments you cannot possibly make justly. Be content that Hawking has passed into the Great Mercy.

That's your opinion and you well may be right but would you refrain from entering Heaven if they were?
Our duty / responsibility to civil society is to prevent evil individuals from doing further harm, what God does with them after that is up to Him and I completely defer to Him for that call.
