The Austin Police Department says from what they’ve gathered so far, they don’t believe this is part of a bigger plan or a terrorist act. The FBI and ATF are assisting in the investigation by working to determine what exploded and how it got there.

The NBC affiliate reports a second suspicious package is being investigated at the scene.
A Unabomber wannabe? My first question is which packaging service delivered the package and, regardless which one, there should be tracking paperwork on it that can be located back at the source. Next, any connection between the two addresses that were bombed? Any similarities with occupations or interests of the chief occupants?
Remember, it took our keystone cops over a year to figure out who was throwing large rocks from overpasses onto I-35 traffic below so don’t assume these guys will get the case solved soon.
