“Hobbled by poor word of mouth,”

That’s not the issue with the movie.
The issue is how the initial trailer seems to make it out that the movie revolves around Oprah.

Maybe kids will not go to a movie starring middle-aged women. This seems like a kid movie. It is the first $100+ million picture directed by a black woman. I hope it bombs.

Hollywood finds something that works they run with it. What’s next? The Black Green Hornet?

Why is this adjective necessary?

Storm Reid is visually unappealing. She looks angry, like Moochelle, in nearly every shot. ‘Bitchy Resty Face’ is not a good look.

My wife and I went to see “Death Wish” yesterday. We both enjoyed it very much and thought it really good. It did not replicate the Charles Bronson scenes, so it was like seeing a new movie. I was disappointed in one unnecessary scene that, to me, was completely unnecessary: that scene perpetuated the liberal myth that fully automatic weapons are available to the general public. Maybe it was a bump stock, I don’t know, but it was a single, completely unnecessary portrayal in the movie that will give the ignorant liberal more fodder to harp upon, that I found quite disappointing in an otherwise very good movie.

“Disney” to me just means “don’t watch this”.

Disney had better pray that the overseas haul will be spectacular. That's the only way this hot mess will recoup itself after production, marketing etc.

A blow to Oprah’s massive ego is always a good thing.
