NFL free agency hasn't even started. Teams can’t negotiate with impending free agents until Monday. So how are we even hearing reports of players heading to specific teams? Well, the NFL has not done a tremendous job keeping teams in check in this regard. The plethora of reports linking Kirk Cousins to the Minnesota Vikings is the latest example of this. Now, according to SiriusXM Radio’s Adam Caplan (h/t Zig Fracassi of the same outlet), indications are that Cousins will sign a free agent deal with Minnesota once the market opens up on Wednesday. Said deal is expected to value Cousin at $27-plus million per season.

Good!!! Now the Jets won’t be able to spend that much on him!!

He’s good. He’s not 27 million a year good.

Qwirky Kirk.
He’s good, but seems to have that one bad play in the big games like Romo.

Out of the 32 starting quarterbacks in the entire NFL...I might go to rate him in the top ten. But no...he’s not a 27 million a year type quarterback. The Vikings will have huge expectations.

Waittaminnit ...

They have a #1 overall pick in Sam Bradford, a first rounder in Bridgewater, and a bargain priced QB who brought them to the championship game because he matured at the right time in Case Keenum.

And they go with some guy who couldn’t even bring the Redskins to the playoffs?!

The Rams tried that years ago with Trent Green, and though he didn’t work out, our backup (Kurt Warner) managed to get the job done.

I don’t care what they pay this guy. Just so long as they get no public funding for a stadium and no tax treatment as a non-profit or benefit from any other tax dodge.

I know all 3 Vikings QBs are free agents, so it is a great signing for them.

Does his contract come with an endless supply of knee pads so he can kneel when the national anthem is played?

That was a really expensive playoff loss for Case Keenum.
One game took him from starting QB to a guy begging for his
next job.

I’m excited about the XFL starting up in 2019. Hopefully with a long halftime featuring exhibition games from the Lingerie league .....lots of standing at attention during the anthem then

And that one bad play is what seperates him and Romo from Brady and Rodgers.
