I’m in the Zihuatanejo/Ixtapa area right now, and loving it.

George P. endorsed Trump and Trump endorsed George P.

That doesn't mean that Jorge P. is worth a damn. His agenda is the same a Jeb's.

Trump is de facto head of the Republican party. He's expected to endorse incumbents or expected nominees. As for Jorge, he knew that if he went the route his father, grandfather, and uncle did and refused to endorse the GOP Presidential nominee in a general election, his political career would be over. He didn't endorse Trump in the general election because he agreed with Trump's agenda, he did it for completely opportunistic reasons.

That's total BS. George P. Bush is not a clone of his father, and has stated his staunch support for President Trump's MAGA agenda on repeated occasions.

You need to get over your knee-jerk hatred of every person named "Bush", and evaluate people as individuals.

It's much better to have a GOP Trump supporter elected to public office—even if his last name is "Bush"—than a #NeverTrumper, which is precisely what his opponent was...

Playa del Carmen is among the nicer tourist areas in Mexico - Was there in 2001 - and the nice is a facade that extends a couple of blocks from the dock... then it turns into what the majority of Mexico is- and what Trump was accused of calling it (and other similar nations).

BUT - as you posted - the drug cartels had a kind of understanding regarding the main tourist area because - hey - that is among their big sales areas. The tourist trade is a major part of their sales and trafficking. Scare away tourists and you put a dent in your profits. And of course - mexican “law enforcement” is a joke - they turn a blind eye to all but the low bidders (or those who have demonstrated a willingness to torture and kill the families of law enforcement officials - all the way through the Federales...

It already IS coming here - check out many border towns on our Southern line - turning rapidly into Hell-hole 3rd World status - along with major parts of California... Those Sanctuary Cities are flipping to disgusting cesspools quicker than you can flush a port-a-potty.

Homan believes the existence of sanctuary states and cities will ultimately end up costing lives.

WILL ultimately? Take a look - it already IS and HAS cost lives!

Yes, I have no doubt that Jorge P. is 100% in favor of ending chain migration and anchor babies, and that if he were Governor he'd crack down on sanctuary cities for illegals /sarcasm>. Let me jog your memory a bit: in 2000 George W. campaigned as a (semi)conservative rather than as a clone of his Rockefeller Republican dad. Once in office, he was pretty much a dimmer clone of his father. The Jorge acorn won't fall far from the Jeb tree either.

I repeat what I said. Trump is the de facto head of the GOP, he's expected to play that part and support incumbents in his own party. Similarly, ambitious upstart Republicans are expected to endorse their party's Presidential nominees if they have any hope of a political future.

For these reasons, Trump also recently endorsed Mitt Romney for the Utah GOP primaries because Mitt is almost 100% certain to win the Utah GOP nominee. That doesn't mean that my opinion of Mitt Romney is any higher. The same is true of La Raza Jorge.

We’ve cruised many times with ports-of-call in Mexico and the Caribbean. After hearing so many horror stories of Americans in Mexico we still cruise, but pretty much stay on the ship when in port. We’ve seen the ports before, and the ship is quiet and peaceful when 75% of the passengers are gone. We go for the cruise, not the sightseeing.

Back in the ‘80s, it was a joy to visit and explore the ports.

Actually many of us voted against him, specifically because of his plans for the Alamo.

However, we have so many foreigners from other states who have moved here and don’t have a clue what this guy has been doing. So with Trump’s endorsement and his famous name, he got re-elected.

I’m going to find out what his Democrat opponent thinks about his handling of the Alamo. If his position is any more conservative than Bush’s I am strongly considering voting for that Democrat in the general election.

We have to ignore Trump’s endorsements of Swamp Creatures and drain the swamp of Bush League Republicans who side with illegal aliens and their employers against the citizens and the rule of law.

We liked staying at the Holiday Inn tower on the Ixtapa beach.
Later, we found out it had become a condo of sorts...

PDC is getting so crowded that no one goes there anymore. I am headed there tomorrow. I believe the state department issued this so their employee’s families could have some beach days.

There are so many things to like about Mexico from a conservative point of view. Men are men, women are women. There are only two genders. There’s no such thing as political correctness. There are Christians everywhere. You’ll find Jesus, Mary and Joseph in the public square. Faith and family are the highest priorities. People are generally very polite. They dress conservatively. Small business is thriving.
