Ex-Santa Cruz Shelter Volunteer Says She Killed Dog as Retaliation, Later Denies It

A disturbing livestreamed video went viral this week after a former Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter volunteer claimed she once killed a dog as retaliation against the dog's owner.

Simone Scott, who goes by the online names "Aqualadora" and "AqualaGamer," smiles as she talks to fellow Twitch streamers about euthanizing the 4-year-old dog.

"I once killed someone's dog on purpose. But no one knew because I was a professional," she says.

The UC Santa Cruz graduate claims she was working as a veterinary tech at the time, and said the owner was a "really really bad person."

"The dog was pretty "sh**ty too. I mean, sh**ty dog, sh**ty person," Scott said after being asked if she regretted it.

The Twitch video was livestreamed Tuesday and went viral on Reddit.

The online response was swift as animal lovers expressed disgust, shock, and outrage over Scott's claim.

On Wednesday afternoon, Scott tweeted that she was only joking.

"You would think this community would know how to recognize a troll when they see one," Scott tweeted with a laughing emoji.

The Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter is experiencing a heated backlash as well.

Scott's role at the shelter was only to socialize with animals. She was also not a "professional," as she said in the livestream, because she was a volunteer.

"We've received a lot of emails from concerned citizens about this, accusing us of hiring someone that would do something like this. It's just absolutely not true. She was never one of our employees," said shelter manager Melanie Sobel.

Hopefully, the entire incident is a distasteful, bad joke, and no dogs were unethically killed. If it's not, and Scott actually killed a dog, she may have committed a crime.

UC Santa Cruz police and the Santa Cruz Police Department are looking into Scott's dog rant.

Scott did not respond to a request for an interview with KSBW.

That was what the BTK Killer, Dennis Rader, did when he gave up serial killing for a couple of decades.

I’m guessing there’s numerous levels of “whore” in this narcissist.

They should be able find out if a 4 year old pet dog died unexpectedly while under her care.

The black ho version of Chelsea Clinton is lying. The song “Tied to the Whippin’ Post” suggests a remedy.
