With John McCain AWOL and refusing to resign, the Republicans have only a 50-49 margin. If they are missing one vote for any other reason they are in jeopardy of losing on said bill or appointment. Crappy.

Seems odd to me.
First off, “Departments” typically have “Secretaries” running them who are part of the President’s Cabinet. So, Department would actually be kind of lateral. Maybe they meant “bureau”.
Second, I don’t see any value in this unless the gov has been picking up so much intel, domestic as well as foreign, thanks to scooping up all phone and internet traffic, that human intel has been devalued, which I find hard to believe.

Highly unlikely. The National Security Agency is military while the CIA is civilian and under federal law.

I dont believe it for a second. Truman was a scumbag. We can see by the other things he was involved in that he had no good intentions. The CIA did just what it was set up to do.

I think our disagreement revolves around whether or not NSA is operating in a Congressionally mandated manner. Clapper's lies to Congress demonstrate unequivocally that they are indeed rogue. He only 'revised' those comments after the Snowden leak showed what they were actually up to.
IMO the NSA is no better.
This was speculation based on MIRROR of prior “Q” posts. However recent memo from Trump last week gave Rogers + SoS power to effect. The big indicator will be whether Trump tweets about the Storm after Billy Graham memorial. TBD ;)
