Just curious if anyone has a college student who had to take Diversityedu, and what they thought of it. IE: did it help, was it a waste of time, did it feel like liberal indoctrination?, etc. Thanks.

DiversityEdu currently offers three online courses:

1. Students. Topics Include: Examining assumptions, searching for similarities, anticipating impact, role of bystanders, microaggressions.
2. Facilty & Staff. Topics Include: Addressing diversity resistance, examining assumptions, impact of identity terms, microaggressions, and bias in decision making.
3. Hiring. Topics Include: Bias in academia, myth of the meritocracy, guidelines for searches, and diversity competent mentoring & development plans

I've been filtering through online "educational" materials for my 10-year olds--both are in gifted programs, working on materials way above their current grade. One would be in college at 12 if we let him progress at his own pace. Anyway, challenge is to find material at any age that is not loaded with propaganda, liberal agendas, etc.

On another note, I lived diversity max at York University in Toronto. In my classes there was a very smart ectomorph from Israel and a unibrow Bluto from Damascus who smoked god-awful Gauloises cigarettes. The two were always at each other’s throats.

There were black students with charming British accents completely free of American black arrogance and entitlement seeking.

There were Pakis with a hostility for everyone else that wasn’t a Paki.

I found out that Scots from Glasgow have totally different accents from Edinburgh Scots and are very unlike each other.

Overall, it was an enjoyable experience, other than having to walk to class from remote parking in Arctic weather.

Total crap. Here’s all you need to know: in the workplace treat everyone professionally and do so without regard to race, gender, religion or sexual orientation.

Diversity training is over-complicated, convoluted, confusing and is most definitely liberal indoctrination.

I say this from experience. I had to sit through diversity training annually for at least 10 years as did everyone else with whom I worked. Zero benefit.

What is the “Strength” of Diversity (multiracialism)? Other than in certain sports, I am not aware of how anything has been improved by adding ethnic minorities to the mix.

Sounds about as bad as a young lady I know. Absolute genius. Smoked the SAT with second highest score ever in her state when she was 13.

Got a free ride to a university. It required she take a womyn’s studies course.

This is a strong Christian who is deeply intelligent. She said by the end of class, even the lesbians were agreeing to her point of view. The instructor was all tied in knots.

One of my kids is at a small private engineering school. They study engineering and skip the nonsence
