Melania Trump turned every head in the room when she walked in to the State Dinning Room at the White House Sunday in a black floor-length gown at the annual Governor’s Ball.
The first lady looked absolutely stunning in the long-sleeve floral pattern lace gown that went down to the floor and was covered in sequins as she walked alongside President Donald Trump to greet the U.S. governors.
Trump addressed the nation’s governors, who were in town for their annual winter meetings and praised his wife for making the room look more “beautiful” than he’s ever seen it.
“Well, I want to start by congratulating our great First Lady on such a beautiful room. I’ve never seen it look so beautiful. Worked very hard,” Trump shared, according to the White House. “I also want to say that it’s an honor to have so many of our tremendously talented governors with us. This is a yearly tradition, and our crowd gets a little bit larger every year.”
“Looking forward to hosting members of the @NatlGovsAssoc & their spouses at the @WhiteHouse this evening,” the first lady tweeted. “Wonderful opportunity to come together in friendship on behalf of our many communities across the country.”

I’ve heard it said before and bares repeating, “When you’ve got it, flaunt it”. Melania has definitely “got it”!

I apologize in advance, but I just can’t get that pic of Mooch along with two very svelte Euro First Ladies out of my mind. Some things simply cannot be unseen. Thank the Lord that we now have a FLOTUS worthy of our pride.
Melania is stunning, as usual. What strikes me though is that our President certainly knows how to wear a tux, which puts the lie to all these leftist attempts to paint him as some sort of uncouth oaf. Even the unconventional hair that’s been the object of so much ridicule looks groomed. It must drive the left batty, they just keep going about their lives and look good doing it, in spite of it all.
I believe the picture of the French President’s wife and the (I think) queen of Spain was photoshopped. They didn’t all really walk up the stairs together.
full disclosure... I'm not a fan of any of them, and generally don't care a lick about first ladies, but the comparisons with Michelle Obama are a bit weak.Youd have to go back to Nancy Reagan, who came out of Hollywood to find a first lady who was "svelte."

Ho’wood women need to take notes. A little lace. Not a completely see-through dress with slits up to one’s V and down to one’s pubic line.
Barbara Bush was an ‘old style’ First Lady. Laura Bush was a classy First Lady, not at all overweight but a normal American size. She always looked polished and comforting. Now, Melania is a stunner, with the experience to command a room. But Moochelle was a constant embarrassment. No matter where she was, always looking like new wealth trying to fit in. Yep, Melania is the best looking of the lot!

I thought Laura looked gorgeous in the red dress she wore at one of the inaugural balls.
I have to disagree with the majority here. Melania is beautiful and classy, but I don’t think black is her best look. Or, perhaps they just didn’t post good pictures of her and her dress. I’ve yet to see a full length shot of that dress where she isn’t partially obscured by all the black tuxes.

Laura Bush could have pulled it off just fine, even without the height. Barbara Bush was well into her 60’s as First Lady. Moochelle was in her 40’s.
I agree with you, black is not the most flattering color on Melania. Dark brown, dark eggplant, navy all look much better on her. She looks gorgeous in white and cream, too.
Nancy Reagan was old Hollywood. She dressed it and was gracious with the public.
She dressed age appropriate.
Barbara Bush looked like what she was-a grandma. She was well mannered and well spoken. She dressed age appropriate.
Hillary Clinton was a trailer park 4 trying to look like a 10. America’s Ex-Wife couldn’t pull it off, despite a complicit press.
Laura Bush was an attractive woman who kept mostly in the background. She wasn’t a fashionable woman but dressed appropriately for each occasion.
Michelle (Michael) Obama was a complete and total mess. No class and no sense of style. Period.
A walking, talking disaster.
One local black guy publicly said “that’s a MAN.”
Melania Trump is young, beautiful, educated, sophisticated and well spoken.
A former model turned wife, mother and now First Lady.
She has brought style and elegance back to the White House.
Nancy, Barbara, Laura and Melania individually spoke, dressed and acted like what they were at their stages in life.
Hillary and Michelle were “women” who tried to speak, act and look like something they weren’t.

The “worst” flattering on Melania would be gorgeous. She’d look great in a burlap sack.
But the most beautiful thing about her is her graciousness.
That lady in the red gown doesn’t look too thrilled to be there; don’t know who that is but she looks p!ssed. Jealous?
