North Korea is a dark s***hole if there ever was one. You can’t get more “progressive” than NK.

Howcome the media didnt think a trope of female cheerleaders was sexist and misogynistic?

If we’re going to war over the rights of women, the FGM countries come first.

Virtue signaling is equally nauseous no matter what quarter it comes from.

Wanting to avoid war in Asia is one thing. I see where you are coming from.

But using that position to deny the reality of matters in North Korea, where there is an abundance of reports and eyewitness testimony corroborated and air tight, is a different issue and poses a different problem.

Why don't you just settle on this position. "North Korea IS doing these horrid things...but it is none of our business." That would be the more honest position to adopt I would say. Than trying to be an apologist for Pyongyang and insist what they are doing,, the various crimes against human, are in fact not going on.

I noticed that one Nork cheerleader clapped for the US figure skating pair. I wonder if they killed her, and her entire family yet?

I wouldn't be surprised.

Sounds like reeducation time for her, doesn't it?

Why are you on Free Republic defending the Norks?

Like yeah, I don’t see how you think that stuff would influence someone who knows about the Clinton Bimbo Eruption Squad.

The US may once have been in a position to be moral arbiter of the world.

The US has not been in that position at least since Reagan left office.

This archaic pretense that our fitness as international moral judge of these matters can create a valid causus belli is in conflict with the interests of the American people.

We don’t want a war. If you care so much, figure out how to accomplish your goals without one.

The resort to an emotional play reveals that you do somewhere deep down understand that you have been a) completely manipulated and b) working with no verifiable information.

Then you can't say that it isn't happening.

I’m not “defending the Norks”. I’m calling out war propaganda.

Let me know if you’re interested in when I stopped beating my wife.

Given: She will be punished.

Most likely: She will be sent to a camp.

Less likely but still possible: She will be executed and members of her family will be sent to places like Yodok, Hoeryeong, etc.

Since the lunatic nork leaders do weird murders of people, they will probably skate over her and slice her to pieces.

You sure are defending them.

And you don’t know that it’s propaganda.

Do you really think NK is the workers paradise the Norks claim it is? Are you really that stupid?

I hate to imagine.

I’ll bet no one else does it ever again.

What they do to her will certainly keep the rest of the squad in line from here on out.

The moral equivalence you incredibly spout between NORTH KOREA and the UNITED STATES (which cannot even be compared), even with the excesses and evils of Bill Clinton in the White House, is fetidly repugnant.

Are you too stupid to know the difference between locker room talk and actual facts?

My position is that whether or not they are doing it, it is none of our business, and ALSO that the information that we have is not a good basis to judge what is going on on a national scale, IN PART because it is limited, and ALSO IN PART because many of the people who are supplying this information are giving false information, or a false narrative of the information available.

There is nothing trustworthy and reliable enough here to form the basis of a war.

The reason the Bloomberg article was published was not to reveal problems in NK, but to promote a war.

So I’m calling that one right out on the table.

Not interested in war. We need our resources to rebuild the smouldering trainwreck that two Bushes, two Clintons, and an Obama left for us.

To even take the first step down the narrative path of let’s have a war - which this article is intended to prepare you for, make no mistake about that - is absolutely insane.

It shows no grasp at all of the seriousness and magnitude of the issues that we already need to deal with, to begin to consider taking on a land war in Asia. Something is wrong with a mind that would go down this path without tripping a circuit breaker.

That’s your emotional investment talking.

It’s time to come to grips with the reality that here in the US we have evils that are easily of the same magnitude that will overwhelm us soon if we do not focus on getting our act together - and fast.

This hyperpolitical Orwellian state and its adjunct organized crime networks that the GOP foolishly enabled, and the Democrats weaponized as per its design, is a far greater threat, not only to Americans but to all of humanity, than anything going on in NK.

We need to take care of business right here, and while this business remains undone, it is as fanciful and unreasonable to consider the domestic affairs of another country to be our business, as it would be for them to consider ours to be their business.

Re-education time, might be the least of her problems. She might face the anti aircraft guns.
