Vortex Viper PST 6-24x50. It’s a lot of scope for the money and will definitely let you see the bullseye at 200 yards. If you want to stretch out past 200 yards, it will definitely be up for the task as well. It comes with a zero stop, an illuminated reticle, a lifetime warranty, a sun shade, and rock solid turret knobs. I have one on my 300 win mag but I want another one for my AR10T which currently has a Nikon 2.5x10 tactical monarch which is very nice but it doesn’t zoom on to that bullseye the way the Vortex does.

Vortex makes a good scope that’s very reasonable in the Diamondback Tactical.
I have a Vortex Strike Eagle on my AR. I like it.
I have a strike eagle on my AR15 too. And I also like it as a tactical scope. I don’t play with it enough though as I’m usually focused on my 7.62 rifles. I just came into a whole lot of 5.56mm components so I think I’ll be playing with it some more this summer.

For $300 when its really about a $700 scope. Its that good.
Depending on the budget you can grab a good scope ranging any where from $150 to thousands of dollars. I am running a Leapers UTG on multiple AR’s and AK’s. 4x16x56 and 4x16x44. Both have side adjustable parallax which is a must for killing paper. All my shooting is on the rang nowadays and I find the adjustable parallax hones that scope in. What ever you choose at least get that adjustable parallax and your shooting will improve significantly.
Another vote for Leupold. Mine carries a VX3 CDS 3.5-10
Good gun and nice set-up. I am partial to a fix front sight but to each their own. Leupold 4X12. 12 power gets you a good medium distance and 4 power is what the marines use on their battle rifle. While a hunting leupold is not a trijicon it is more suited for target shooting at 200 yard than the trijicon.

I’d go with 24x if you are not going to be shooting beyond 200 yards. I prefer Leopold target scopes with 1/8 minute turrets for long range, but I have a Tasco 24x on my 22-250 that delivers 1/2 minute of angle out to 350 yards at a fraction of the cost.
Very respected military sniper types are wowing over this thing and saying it is perfect for the mid-range "designated marksman" type shooter. You can get good accuracy without needing to learn a bunch of that traditional long range class room type stuff or needing a range finder. T-Rex of "Sniper 101" was raving about it. It's going to be my next scope, whether for the 5.56 or the 308 I'm not sure yet. So many toys, such little money.
