Some one said the other day that they changed the scoring system to weigh more heavily on difficulty of spins rather than perfection in carrying them out.
So, for example, you might get more points for crappy execution of a triple than you would get for a flawless execution of a double.
So this encourages them to try things they can’t do as well, to increase their points. It’s all about the points.
That needs to change. Guys were scoring higher falling on a triple than other who executed a double.
And they fall.... and win medals anyway. I just don’t think a medalist should be able to fall and still win gold because they’ve racked up more points.
