Setting aside the Good Book and faith in Jesus as one's personal savior, the middle-term (50 year) prosepects depend on changes in education of the present youth. Whther they "get it" and succeed in passing it on is an age-old problem.
The war between good and evil will persist until the end of mankind. We never get to step 10.
