All I know is that How the Universe Works has its faggot astronomer, blacks, and female commentators. White mail scientists, not so much.

“Africa has given the world far more sophisticated cuisine than ‘soul food.’”

Such as...?

Beef bourguignon, for one.

Sweet taters, Okry; lets give Africa credit for its contributions to our table.

Good lord. Why would you post something so erroneous without looking it up first? The dish’s name should gives away the fact that it originates from the Burgundy region of France.

Sweet potatoes are from Central and South America.
Okra’s origins are disputed, and may be Asian.

Blacks do not own certain foods.

I dont know why anyone tries to kowtow and attempt to curry favor with blacks as a demographic anymore

I have reached the point of no more f*cks given.

Collard greens in New York are bound to cause turmoil.

Here’s one for ya’ll...

Where did the cuisine of fried chicken originate? The answer is (envelope please)...

Scotland. No kidding.

Your post 19 didn’t ask about the social/political/economic situation in Ethiopia; it appeared to ask what sophisticated cuisine might exist in Africa.

Some African dishes incorporate spices in ways that rival the Indian cuisine; and the Injera, made from Teff, not only complements the dishes very well, but is a very nutritious, gluten-free bread that is high in iron. It’s a lot better when compared with the squishy, empty-calorie white stuff that most Americans eat, regardless of their ‘race’.

I grew up eating both. I still love them. We grew both red and yellow melons plus cantaloupes. Nothing better than a good ripe melon.

I didn’t see anything ‘racist’ about that. The fact is that a lot of low-income Black folks DO eat out of convenience stores and fast-food places.

But they also have a wonderful and diverse tradition of ‘home cooking’.

Mildred Council of ‘Mama Dip’s’ fame is a legend in Chapel Hill, NC, with a great story:

In between famines, of course.

I, on the other hand, will be eating at Martin’s in Montgomery, Alabama this weekend and plan on loading up on their fried chicken, collard greens and iced tea.
