In a country where good news stories about the military are few and far between, recent years have been kind to the German Navy (Deutsche Marine). Its vessels had been participating with its allies in counter-piracy operations like Operation ATALANTA off East Africa, and its ships have been involved in refugee rescue in the Mediterranean Sea as well as weapons interdiction off the coast of Lebanon. Pictures of German Navy vessels assisting in the rescue of bedraggled refugees portrays the public face of the Bundeswehr in a way no Eurofighter or Leopard 2 tank ever can.

Robert Morganthau,Sr. had the right idea what to do about Germany after World War II.
Probably for the best. It’s certainly better to have weak militaries in these countries as they transition to Islamic rule.
And hopefully the UK and France follow South Africa’s lead and dismantle their nukes prior to their transitions too.
Germans invest in productive manufacturing enterprise to become ever richer while we ( as per DJT ) squandered $6 trillion in the Mideast becoming poor.
Whose the dummy here ?
He wanted Germany to be totally “pastoral.”
No manufacturing. Fed via soup kitchens...
Royal Caribbean has 3 cruise ships that are over 220,000 tonnes... each. (Harmony, Allure, and Oasis of the Seas)
The US Navy's Nimitz-class carriers are over 100,000 tonnes each... and we have 10 of them.
They’re waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too busy IMPORTING (and taking care of) a HOSTILE muslim invasion.
Besides, such a massive project is VERY expensive.
A Navy? Naaah—not so much.
Those guys had an empire to consider; I couldn’t imagine why Germany would need a navy to rival Britain’s at this point. They already have what two world wars failed to deliver: domination of the European continent.
Germany builds warships for OTHER countries. At this time, Germany has NO operational submarines. We should reconsider what the hell we’re doing in NATO with allies that are not willing or capable of defending themselves.

But all of them are out of commission.

Stand corrected.
Who needs warships to rescue refugees? Wouldn’t small cruise ships work better and be a lot cheaper. Better yet, from a safety perspective, just pick them up at the port and deliver them to home.
If you are not going to protect your borders, how large of navy or army do you need? You would mostly need an army to protect and monitor your nation inside the borders.
It’s for the best l don’t want muzzles in U-Boats with nukes.
I hope not, when the muslims finish taking over I want them to find the military cupboard bare.
