China will soon have air power rivalling the West's (yet we continue to buy everything from there)

THERE is no question which country gets the starring role in “The Military Balance”, the latest annual review of the world’s armed forces by the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS), a London-based think-tank. Amid renewed jostling between the world’s great powers, it is the pace of military modernisation in China that stands out. China’s president, Xi Jinping, wants to be able to challenge America’s military might in the western Pacific. He is making big progress. China’s once bloated armed forces are becoming leaner and a lot more capable. They are also benefiting from a defence budget that is growing at a steady 6-7% a year, in line with GDP. The IISS declares that China has ...

People, a whole lot of very influential Americans, have sold out to China.

Now they are approaching equity on Air Force quality.

Now I do not have a military background. But I pay attention to China.

Everyone acquiring things in America, seems to be 100% locked into China.

We need to make things in America once again.

Sold out to China is the project by the bipartisan, globalist elites, starting from Bush senior to Clinton, GW Bush and moron Obama.

Why in the world did he hitch our wagon, to the biggest, most assertively growing military power in the entire world?

Why?

And why do we continue it. Even now, I don’t see any change. Even with Trump in office.

This is why I voted for him. This is why I have supported him since before he announced his candidacy.

Who is standing up for America’s interests?

We need to make things in America once again.

I never thought it was a good idea to go to China and teach them how to make things using modern manufacturing techniques.

I think the globalist elites first underestimated the Chinese, their willing to steal their way to the superpower. Later, they were bribed by the Chinese, the Bush family and Clinton’s family. As to Obama, he is a moron and didn’t care let the Chinese overpower America.

"yet we continue to buy everything from there"

Let's see. I can buy a widget made in China that will last nine years for $14. Or I can buy a similar widget made in the USA that will last 10 years for $59. Whatever shall I do.

I get that. And I agree with your assessment.

But what about Trump? He has now been our president for one entire year.

No change, that I can see yet.

I saw this coming years ago. Unfortunately, most politicians can’t see beyond the next election. Others sell us out on purpose.

It is like watching Nazi Germany re-arm.

My only consolation is that you can’t fight a World War in the nuclear age without total annihilation. So I am not worried at all about China trying to invade the USA.

What terrifies me is, how far do we let China go before we feel we have to go nuclear.

Say China invades Taiwan. Are we really going to send 2 carrier groups to Taiwan to liberate it from the Chinese? Are we really going to allow US sailors and airmen to engage in combat against Chinese sailors and airmen? Likely not. We are probably just going to sit back and take it.

If China had a weak military, then we might check them and hope they don’t use nuclear weapons. But if China can give us as good as they get, it is too high a cost to stop them from taking Taiwan.

So what happens when that escalates and China grabs other islands?

Do we draw the line when China takes Japan and go full on conventional naval air war then? Do we push the nuclear button as a warning and hope we can wipe out enough of their nuclear sites fast enough that they don’t destroy more than 20 or 30 percent of America.

China will go on a war of Asian conquest, and I don’t see who is going to be able to stop them in the nuclear era. No they won’t attack us, but they can expand a massive Chinese empire militarily and nobody is going to have the guts to oppose them.

This is flat terrifying. I pray to the Lord I am in the grave or in heaven before this comes to pass. In fact, it could very well be that a war of Chinese conquest is the event that triggers the Second Coming of Christ and that nuclear button starts all that chaffe being separated from the wheat.

If I think about this too long, I won’t be able to sleep tonight.

The really BEST thing about this is, China has watched us forever, and they have learned that an economic Empire is much more fruitful than a territorial one. So they may well be emulating us. Build an overwhelming world-wide economic Empire, but be sure to have the overwhelming military might necessary to project the political power you need to maintain that economic Empire.

They ain’t stupid.

North Korea has been in the way of punishing the Chinese trade practices by Trump. NK is a bargaining chip of the Chinese. But in fact, NK nuclear weapons poses a bigger threat to China than to America. Trump should proceed to confront China without regard to NK.

A few years ago, I neaded a new toaster, but almost all of the toasters on the market were made in China. I finally found an English toaster, but it cost $200 as opposed to $19 for the Chinese one, so I went out and bought the damn Chinese toaster.
