I have a feeling Disney is going to find out real fast that cutting your audience into slices to try to win identity politics groups doesn’t work in business.

I heard today that there are calls from not really identified source, that whites should not attend the opening day showings of this film to allow blacks to buy the seats that whites would have bought and thus denied blacks the opportunity to see and celebrate this black hero movie. Fine, I’ll just skip the movie entirely and let the black population be the only folks to see it....and if so, will it make a profit?

More and more this movie is confirming my worst fears about the MCU.
Why does it have to have a rap album attached to it? Why can’t it just have a normal score. I hate rap. I won’t see it just because of the music. Why, if it is black, does it have to be ghetto? No need for that. Black peopke can be normal humans like anybody else. Don’t have to be funkdified at every turn. But then again- cough, cough- hollywood isn’t run by blacks. Cough.
Black Panther has always been black, so this is not a big deal. Now, if the African-American community wants to make this into a “thing” to bash whites, then that’s their business. I don’t watch movies in theaters anymore anyway.
I’ve been Marvel’d out for a couple of years now. Movies with 91% and greater CGI are underwhelming to me.
I’ll leave the comics and comicbook shows to the kids.
I’m hoping the ‘pro-Black’ aspects of this film are not all demonstrated by ‘anti-White’ actions and statements.
That would be a wasted opportunity for something worthwhile to be shown as entertainment. We don’t need anymore rallying points for black folks who hate white folks.
They keep changing established superheroes instead of creating new ones.
And then they’ll claim white people are racist for not seeing it.

What does that even mean?
“predominantly all?”
Those two words are contradictory. Unless “all” modifies black, meaning the black stars are “all black” and not, so-called, mixed race. But I have a feeling that this is NOT what they are trying to say.
Maybe they mean that all of the major parts are played by black actors. I’m not really sure. Confusing.
I’ve stopped watching them because they ruined them, much like everything eldr they touch.
I’m not sure half the world realizes it’s fantasy anymore.
Just as soon as it hits the discount movie bin at Walmart.
Marvel’s first real successful venture into film were the Blade movies. Wesley Snipes was awesome.
