Per the article, the worms live on the surface of the eye and under the eye lids but do not burrow into the eye ball.

From the article, doctors said they would remain on the surface of her eye (not go in the brain). Good article and brave lady for putting the info out.

That’s what I’m thinking.

It’s unlikely that the optic nerves are well sealed as they “head” off to the back...
