You are being too materialistic, and confusing issues of the earth-earthy, with issues that present to the individual, subjective soul.

You must not believe in God. He is the Way, the Truth and the Life. The ultimate in Truth, Goodness and Beauty. The Absolute of all Virtues. He is not negotiable or “within us” as though we can decide what His definition is. God is God and we are not. His existence is not subjective as though our perception of Him depends on us. He existed before Time and will exist whether we acknowledge Him or not. Truth absolutely is “out there.”
I believe you are overthinking this whole truth thing.
It's really super simple, as most things are. Truth is only what it is. It is neither within you nor without you. It just IS.
I try to understand things by making them simple, kinda like when you simplify a math problem from ten thousand numbers down to just a few. Break it down and distill it until it's in it's easiest understandable form. I have to do that because I'm a very simple man.
And I have boiled this math problem down to this simple statement. Truth is truth.
