You never hear them make a statement about ordinary blacks.
Instead of noting that some situation or outcome is skewed or biased, it has come to mean "I wanted a different result!" or "I didn't get my way!" or "I'm not happy!"
Seriously Mr. Davis, Mr. Jackson? A coin flip is the epitome of fairness. Unless the person doing the flip is ninja-level skilled there's an even, equal chance of heads or tails. Hmm, even, equal... Kind of the definition of fair - equality. Mr. Davis, you experienced actual equality. Apparently you both were so equally qualified, had such equal merits for carrying the flag that there was no viable argument to be made for one over the other - actual equality. So it was decided with a coin flip.
You lost. Now all of a sudden you're whining like a little female dog. "Oh, it's unfair!" SMH. I'm ashamed to have someone like you competing and representing the US. Let me guess, if you don't get to win, are you going whine about how the event was unfair? What would be "fair" to you Mr. Davis? Should the other competitors step aside to ensure you win? Is any other outcome but you getting your way automatically "unfair?"
Mr. Davis, I've competed in/for a lot of things in my life: sports, car and motorcycle races, girls, jobs... Win some, lose some. Grow up, stop acting like a spoiled little kid.
No, it is merely an opportunity to keep his name in the public eye. This feigned indignation is all about exposure for Mr. Jackson. It's done, there's no re-do of the opening ceremonies. There's nothing to be gained. It is all merely making noise - for Mr. Jackson's benefit, not Mr. Davis or anyone else.

Let us not put this on Jessie Jackson or even Shani Davis. The fault lies with the executives who are in charge of the U.S. delegation. A simply sit down with Mr. Davis would have resolved the issue.

We have the largest team here, and I’m sure no one would miss one. So suck it up, Buttercup. The Olympics have become so b.s. political that I no longer care to watch. Especially on NBC. They will go the way of the NFL eventually.
The flag bearer at the end is usually someone who earns a medal.

They have coin tosses at the beginning of football games. I guess that will be deemed racist next. One more thing for the morons to take a knee over.
I’m not sure why they’re focusing on the coin toss. What they probably really think is that Shani Davis was entitled to carry the flag and it was racist that the vote was a tie. My guess is that the vote wasn’t racist and that the 4 people who didn’t vote for him just didn’t want an asshole carrying the flag.
