We pay the USPS $6.30 to ship a Mighty Mug within the U.S. In a web search for infringing items, we came across a fake Mighty Mug for $5.69, with free shipping all the way from China. How is a Chinese retailer able to sell a product and send it 8,100 miles for less than our shipping costs alone?
While it costs my company $6.30 to deliver a one-pound package within the U.S., the USPS delivers the same package from a Chinese shipper for just $1.40less than a quarter of our cost. And the Chinese advantage increases with the weight of the package.

Nice post!
They must be old friends.
I ordered something yesterday and the $26 shipping fee was more than half the price of the item because they broke it down to 4 tiny boxes rather than one small all inclusive box. That’s outrageous but tends to be the norm these days. Don’t like it one bit.
They married some time ago...
I ordered a book for $3.10 from Amazon, with free 2 day shipping. Someone is not making any money on this
I cannot buy competitive American parts for the 3D Printer I’m building EVEN INCLUDING SHIPPING, shipping is often free.
Is Mighty Mug made in the USA, or China? I went to the website which doesn't mention anything. Usually, USA made products will advertise it clearly.
So everything made in China, should be shipped directly from China at taxpayer cost?
What if it has some USA parts?
How about the owner needs jobs for his in-laws in the warehouse?
I’ve often wondered how Chinese companies can ship a product to your door - total cost of $1 or less even... I cannot send an envelope with a letter to an address in china for $1, how can they send a package?
Also - is this any different than all the junk mail I get every day - large envelopes that would cost me 2X or more to mail the same envelope?
Paychecks and profit vs. slave labor?
