I live in the Philly burbs too, and was pleasantly surprised at the lack of bad behavior. Pictures and video I’ve seen shows TONS of people having a good time, maybe having some adult beverages, fireworks going off, driving around with flags and cheering like crazy.
From what I’ve heard on the radio — there were only 3 arrests, a couple of injuries (worst one was a guy who climbed up on a canopy and fell backwards, expecting the crowd to catch him, but they didn’t, oops!) and some property damage to the aforementioned canopy, one turned over car and light poles along Broad Street (greasing them with Crisco and hydraulic fluid was taken as a dare in my opinion) Couple of cops got in scrapes with drunks and a there was some worry about the streets being impassable for a time, but it really was not that bad.
Seems a bit sensationalized, maybe it’s just because Philly isn’t “America’s Team” (and probably will never be! & we don’t care).
