CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — (WARNING: Video included in this story is disturbing.)
A Chattanooga woman says she lost her baby after she was brutally beaten up by a group of people on Monday.
The woman, who asked only to go by Shaaylahh, says she was visiting a friend in Alton Park Village when it happened.
The beating was caught on camera and uploaded to Facebook. In it, you can see Shaaylahh being dragged down the stairs and outside the house.
In the background, you can hear someone yelling "push her down the stairs."
Eventually, Shaaylahh says she lost consciousness while she was being kicked in the head over and over.

Maryland has a bill pending now that would make such a killing a crime. In the state last year there was a notorious story where the adult boyfriend of a teacher got his girlfriend pregnant, lurid her to a farm by saying he was thinking of buying the farm for the two of them, and then killed the girlfriend and the child. Apparently, he killed them because he didn’t want the child and the responsibility. I heard a radio discussion on the topic and apparently police records show that getting pregnant in situations like this presents a high risk for the mother’s life.
I didn’t even have to look to know the race of the victim and attackers. With a name like Shaaylahh.
I don't think that's going to protect her identity. Sad story, though.
Kicking in the head is common in that culture.
My husband was in Erlanger down there several years ago after an accident. I made two trips a day down to visit because I had to keep the 4-year old granddaughter and wasn’t able to go and stay. One day my daughter went with me and we were detoured through Alton Park. Of course we got lost and stopped to ask a local Chattanooga officer how to get to the hospital. He was sitting on the side of the road and two homies were sitting on the hood of his car. He told us how to get out of the neighborhood and advised us to do it quickly. He said we were the wrong color to be in that neighborhood.

Either by the husband/boyfriend or a woman wanting a child that can’t have one!
Regardless of race it should still be a federal crime to kill an unborn baby by attacking the mother.
Even before I read your post I just knew it was a woman who had instigated and probably took part in the beating. I hope they charge her with manslaughter at the very least.
There was a family, in Dallas, TX iirc, who did the same a few years ago. Evil monsters.
Sadly, it’s best to avoid black areas. They’ve unfortunately earned the reputation.
The whole story is awful.....including the downloading to FB. Sick subhumans.
Wrong gang colors or wrong baby daddy?
There was a flurry in the news some years back about how pregnant women were at risk for violence and murder. It turned out the key factor was "not married to the father," and the risk of violence/death went up several hundred percent if the father was married to someone else.
