That's merely one reason. There are other important reasons, too.

One is, in many contexts--particularly complex ones--cryptic, obscure, ambiguous communications are FAR MORE effective toward the goals concerned.

That's been repeatedly proven with NLP research. Neuro Linguistic Programming has to do with how our brains handle language etc. etc. etc. IT can be used for good or evil.
