#BoycottNFL! 16% is in the ballpark of the decline in NFL ratings over the past seasons. I am among the 16%.

I am no longer an NFL fan. Do they count me?

I think 16% is way too low. It will be a much higher number. I hope the Stupid Bowl fails miserably as far as viewership is concerned.

America needs a new league. The time is right.

Aside from all the other problems the NFL is having, the Superbowl would be more fun Worldwide and especially nationwide, if the Big Game was held on Saturday night or early Sunday afternoon. Most people that stay up for the end and almost all businesses suffer the following Monday, making it a very unproductive day. Those that drink Sunday night, are hungover at work on Monday... Anyone who attends the game, has to travel back on a day they have to take time for. Sunday night Superbowls basically suck.

I so PRAY that they have a 20+% drop-off in viewership!

I’m sure that the NFL and Goodell would still refuse to admit the true cause, but it will be a HUGE financial loss, because the advertisers will start looking for a better way to spend their money, than on the Super Bowl!!

Please!!!!

The Super Bowl was passé once they got to the point where the halftime show and the TV ads got as much coverage as the game itself.

I have seen every Super Bowl since Miami went undefeated by beating the Redskins at the end of the 1972 season. (I was rooting for the Redskins).

But I will not see it this year. I am done with the NFL.

The kneeling is a big factor of course but most people are also growing tired of the Patriots, they barely squeaked by in most of their big games and only after being aided by the officials, basically gifting them their Superbowl appearance. No surprise to see a substantial drop in ratings.

The Super Bowl event has been a national event for years that even non fans are at the very least are aware of and who may watch and even attend Super Bowl parties though they haven’t watched any game at all during the regular season. A typical conversational question asked to nearly everyone is “what team are you rooting for?” There is the expectation that even non fans have one. If 16% of those who self identify as hardcore nfl fans won’t be watching, there should be a considerable percentage of the remaining 84% who are disgusted and won’t be watching.

I’m rooting for low ratings all around!

I am kind of surprised about some of the people I know who are skipping the game this year, some of them not even into politics.
