Did you ever get to see it from the beginning?...................
My girls were very little (5?) when I found an old tape of “The Creature from the Black Lagoon”. They loved it! Wasn’t even all that scary for them, they would watch it over and over.
I thought “Hey - I wonder what other old B&W horror movies they might like?” I think we made it 10 minutes into “The Mummy” and they freaked out and I turned it off and my wife got all mad.
So then I brought home the silent movie “The General” with Buster Keaton - that became another favorite. That lead to other silent movies (Charlie Chaplin). I got such a kick out of these little kids loving the silent movies.
Once they were older they would go on their binges of having overnights and watching horror flicks. Lots of goofy stuff out there.
Probably waiting to see how it does at Sundance and others before general release.............
Life can be horrific without watching horror movies. Why indulge them?
I thought all Sundance movies were indys?..................
Can’t be scarier than any Barbra Streisand movie.
Nobody’s seen it except at Sundance ....................
Nope! It’s been years since I saw it, maybe I need to find it an rent it. Not sure I’ll be able to convince my wife to watch it though. Maybe?!
She did try to watch the Blair Witch Project with me. She thought it was stupid. I liked it in a quirky way. The kids behind me when I saw it in the theater were laughing at it and thought it was stupid too.
I looked at them and said “I’m guessing you haven’t spent too many nights alone in the woods then?”
But yeah - I can see where it isn’t the greatest movie - but I enjoyed it.
I don’t mind being out in the middle of nowhere. But my spookiest night was on the Appalachian trail. Lots of hikers (so PEOPLE!), and then lots of noises from either distant campsites or perhaps a house back in the woods. You know, the house with the hillbillies from Deliverance. (”Hey - is that Banjo music??!!”)
Did you ever see her in United States of Tara? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_of_Tara
Yeah, yeah, that’s what they said about “The Thing” in 1952.....
watch it in the dark, late at night.........................
Incest.
Or they are conservatives.(Ooooo... Scary...In Hollywood)
I have it on VHS....................................;^)
(Snicker, Snicker!)

(Snicker, Snicker!)
friends don’t let friends watch CNN
No get “Showtime” so missed out on that.
Muriel’s Wedding, In Her Shoes, Foster/Angel in the House, and Sixth Sense were the ones seen.
Will travel over to Daily Motion and see if it might be found there. Otherwise, will keep my eyes peeled. :)
All Sundance are Indies, but uncertain if Blair Witch was included the year it was released. Almost certain it was an Indie, just not SURE :>/
I’m pretty sure it was.................
