Dr. John Bindernagel, a wildlife biologist, passed away Wednesday night after losing his battle with cancer.

"It's a huge loss. We can't forget those two books, you know? That's his legacy to his wife Joan and his kids and his grandchildren, but it's also a legacy to everyone," said Thomas Sewid. "He knows, like I do and others, that these things exist."

I don't know how this escaped my attention for a week.

Amomg the last of that generation of bigfoot researchers. Anyone know how Peter Byrne is doing these days?

Ahhh, the Sasquatch, North American cousin of the Yeti. A myth. Just like shiks-appeal.

There are many examples of animals were thought to be mythical, a hoax, or extinct which were later found to exit. Gorillas are one. The platypus was thought to be a hoax initially. It does look improbable. The coelacanth was a fish thought to be extinct 64 million years ago. Apparently the coelacanths were unaware they were extinct as they had been breeding all that time. The Tasmanian tiger is supposed to be extinct, but there have been recent sightings.

I saw this guy on a Bigfoot show on Netflix. I love these shows because they are hilarious.

I feel sorry for his family.

And Bigfoot did exist on Earth as recently as 100,000 years ago - as gigantopithecus - the only question is whether any managed to survive into the present:

"That's a squatch!"

Always makes me laugh...they've never seen a squatch, heard a squatch or touched a squatch, but by gosh, that's a squatch!

Sasquatch 1 to sasquatch 2: “The shiksa is a myth, much like the Hernando de Soto, or his North American cousin, the Bindernagel.”

I suppose he took Ivan T. Sanderson’s place. Who will now take his trying to prove there is an ape man? If there was, we would have found proof fifty years ago as a popular Mechanics magazine said.

No new strange hairs have ever turned upon the feeding traps set out throughout the world.

Thanks, all of you, for your thoughtful comments.

I watched a YT video by Bindernagel not too long ago and he was his earnest Canadian self. The cancer must have come on suddenly and aggressively. R.I.P.

Carcasses/ hair/ DNA usually came back. All we have is 8/16mm movies. Wake me when they get something viable.
