I had to look up what a “padparadscha” sapphire was .....

Padparadscha sapphires are typically found in Sri Lanka and are one of the rarest colour of sapphire, being a beautiful and unique mix of pink and orange.

Transparent specimens of corundum, a crystalline form of aluminium oxide, are used as gems most commonly known as sapphires - with two exceptions. Red ones are referred to as rubies, while pink-orange varieties are padparadscha. All other are referred to as sapphires in the relevant colour.

I have a pink sapphire and yes, pads are more pinkish-orange.
